What it feels like to play
Vikendi is the winter map that loves variety: open snow fields, towns, and lots of terrain that rewards good movement. It can be quiet for a minute, then suddenly everyone’s shooting because the snow gave them away.
What to expect
- Early game: Town fights are common, and you’ll often hear teams before you see them.
- Mid game: Rotations depend heavily on terrain and visibility. Timing matters.
- Late game: Mix of ranged pressure and sudden close fights around compounds and cover.
Tips that usually pay off
- Use sound. Snow footsteps can be a free radar if you pause and listen.
- Carry a flexible loadout. You might need range, but buildings can force close fights fast.
- When visibility drops, treat it like cover and reposition.
A bit of history
Vikendi first showed up in late 2018, and over time it’s been reworked and expanded. The current official map listing describes it as an 8×8 battleground, with harsher winter conditions and big terrain features that shape how fights play out.
