What it feels like to play

Sanhok is tight, green, and loud. You’re rarely alone for long, and fights can chain together so quickly you forget what “mid game” means. Great for aggressive squads, and also for anyone who just wants to get into the action without a 5-minute drive first.

What to expect

  • Early game: Drop, loot, fight. Repeat.
  • Mid game: Rotations are shorter, but you’ll run into people doing the same thing.
  • Late game: Dense cover makes audio, timing, and clearing angles super important.

Tips that usually pay off

  • Don’t over-loot. A decent kit now beats a perfect kit later.
  • Expect third parties. Finish fights quickly or reposition immediately.
  • Throwables are huge here because cover is everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

A bit of history

Sanhok launched in June 2018 and instantly became known as PUBG’s fast-paced jungle map. It’s smaller than the 8×8 maps, and that one decision basically defines the whole experience.

On this page you can see when Sanhok is in rotation for different PUBG regions, what kind of gameplay to expect, and how it compares to other PUBG maps like Karakin and Paramo.
