What it feels like to play

Karakin is PUBG with the downtime trimmed out. It’s small, dry, and full of short rotations that still somehow get you shot from a ridge. If you like quick decision-making and don’t mind restarting faster, Karakin delivers.

What to expect

  • Early game: Immediate engagements. If you land near another team, it’s happening right now.
  • Mid game: Short moves, lots of line-of-sight duels.
  • Late game: Tight circles where every rock matters and healing time feels expensive.

Tips that usually pay off

  • Pick fights you can finish quickly. Long trades attract company.
  • Play cover hard. “One more step” is often the step that gets you knocked.
  • Have a plan for high ground. It’s not always required, but it’s always annoying to fight against.

A bit of history

Karakin arrived around PUBG’s Season 6 period in January 2020 as a smaller, 64-player map built for faster matches and tighter combat. It’s one of the quickest ways to get a full PUBG round in without committing a whole chunk of your day.

On this page you can see when Karakin is in rotation for different PUBG regions, what kind of gameplay to expect, and how it compares to other PUBG maps like Sanhok and Paramo.
