What it feels like to play
Taego is full-size PUBG with a bit of everything: open areas, towns, and varied terrain that keeps rotations interesting. Games tend to have clear phases: loot, move, fight, reset, repeat.
What to expect
- Early game: Enough space to avoid fights if you want, but hot drops still deliver.
- Mid game: Smart rotations and vehicle timing are a big deal.
- Late game: Lots of edge-vs-center decisions, and plenty of ranged pressure.
Tips that usually pay off
- Don’t ignore vehicles. Taego can punish slow rotates the same way Erangel does.
- Build a kit that can fight at multiple ranges, because the map will force it.
- Try to arrive early to strong positions rather than “winning” a late rotation fight and then dying to the next one.
A bit of history
Taego was introduced in mid-2021 as a full-size 8×8 map, arriving with PUBG’s Update 12.2 era and going live on PC in early July. It was a big moment because it brought back the large-map style after years of smaller-map additions.
